HD, 4K and data on DogeFlix

What the HD tag on a DogeFlix card means, which picture you get on which screen, and how much data an hour uses.

The HD tag

Every card on DogeFlix wears an HD tag: the title has a proper high-definition release, and the streaming services Watch now lists stream in HD and beyond, with each service showing the exact picture quality it offers. Very clear. Much pixels.

Which picture on which screen

On a phone, HD looks sharp and saves battery. On a laptop, full HD at 1080p is what the screen shows. On a 4K television with the right plan, the newest films, Avatar: Fire and Ash or The Odyssey, often stream in 4K with HDR.

Data

As a rough guide, standard definition uses under 1 GB an hour, HD about 3 GB and 4K about 7 GB. On mobile data, choose a lower quality in the service's settings or download over Wi-Fi first; the downloads guide explains how.
